The evidence of God in EVERYTHING

In my native tongue (Afrikaans), there is a proverb, “Een man se dood is ‘n ander se brood.

I have pondered upon it often, and come to the conclusion that while it’s the most tragic proverb in the Afrikaans language, it is true. In fact, its brutal honesty makes it such a powerful proverb: “One man’s death is another man’s bread.”

It offended me. If I could disown a proverb, I would’ve done just that. But even if I denied it, and could erase it from the Afrikaans language, it would still remain true.

Then it dawned on me: the correlation between this powerful proverb and the very core of my belief that Christ died so that we may receive life! He died so that we may receive Him, the Bread of Life.

Even though you may be offended by this  Jesus or deny Him, His life AND death's purpose still remains true… Etched even in the very fiber of a modern-day language spoken by less than point something per cent of the world’s population.

“Een Man se dood: my en jou brood.”

"One Man's death is the bread of life."
