Faith followed through

Hey there! Yep, greatest apologies for not getting onto this blogga too oft... thing is, i dearly hope that it encourages you to search out, seek and find your satisfaction in Christ alone -that this blog might be a little titbit to get you hungry enough for a feast!

How are you doing....?

Do you allow the realities of life to choke the very breathe of God from your lungs or do you live each moment by faith, finding pleasure in even the most mundane tasks?

The scripture clearly says that faith apart from works is dead. You LIVE faith. You DO faith. You don't have faith as some secret weapon hidden from the world; your children; your husband.

How bold are you truly in your faith?

okay, i'll make it more personal and practical. You’ve had a rough day your three year old toddler and baby have consumed every ounce of energy stored within your limbs and all that you are longing for is peace and quiet but that is still a good four hours away from happening (sounds familiar right?) and to make matters worse, your husband is home, and now he is also fighting for your attention and affection.

As moms, it is often in these tough, mundane moments that our faith is tested. In the moments when we feel we have a right to grumble and moan, that is when we need to hold fast to faith the most. The Israelites were grumbling and moaning from dusk to dawn yet they were living in the midst of a miracle! They were clothed and fed in a place where both were impossible! But it was not enough… instead they saw the reality of their surroundings: the heat, the hard work, the same boring scenery and so forth. We are guilty of doing exactly as they have done, yet God remains faithful! The greatest, goodest news is that even when we do miss it and mess up, God remains faithful!

When I do miss it, when I do fall short of extending grace to my children and husband… then at the very least, let me be known as a woman that runs to her God, and sits at His feet finding renewed joy, strength and peace! Faith restored!!

(You might be asking “great, how do I actually sit at God’s feet?” I’d answer by saying start reading the Word of God. Allow God to speak to you through His Word)

Psa 143:7 Answer me quickly, O LORD! My spirit fails! Hide not your face from me, lest I be like those who go down to the pit. Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Psa 111:2-8 Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and merciful. He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.

Psa 77:19 Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen. You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
