okay, so I love weddings. Yep, Lov'em all! in fact, I've yet to meet a lady that does not get a little mesmerised by all that wedding magic!white dresses. satin sashes.
exquisite floral bouquets. romantic decor.
candlelight. glass and crystalware.
hints of glow. delicious smells. ahhh....
men, however, seem to have quite a different view:
boring speeches, long tedious cuisine (that offers nothing more than a hint of this and a dash of that), irrelevant table chatter... and so on
but for the husband and wife yearning for a night out,
a wedding is a great (and highly viable) excuse for babysitters...
And the evening becomes one of-
no cooking
no kids
no thinking (of what, when, where... how?)

and good entertainment (like the auntie who had a few drinks too many, singing "for he's a jolly good fellow" for the tenth time)
all dressed up and without the pressure of we-must-talk-to-each-other-only.
The bestest of all is the ceremony message: it's like a re-awakening, re-kindling... REMINDING of the things that truly matter... and the knowledge and privilege of being able to hear the words, knowing that you have (tried to) put it into practice for the past few years of married life and that they are indeed true. and so lovely to hear over and over and over.

in my heart, I echo the words to my husband... I do I do I do!
So, although the three tiered cake was lovely, and all did glitter and glow, it was the glimmer in his eyes that made the evening enchanting.

hope this resonates grattitude in your heart towards your man... much love, Liezl
