Forgiveness

It's the change of season, and  with winter on its way, the air is getting cooler. But because our home is built correctly (thank you Mr Architect of the 70s), we tend to get more sun in the winter. This morning, the sun seems to be shining brighter and warmer, even though I have to wear a sweater. It almost looks like the sun rays are fighting to get to their sunny spot through the window. It's simply magical! And marvellous! for someone like me who loves the sunshine!

So, somehow, I have gotten onto the topic of forgiveness. The fact that we have just celebrated Easter- Jesus' death and resurrection- might have something to do with it...

Previously, I mentioned that in order to put on the armor of God, so we can fight the good fight of faith, we need to live in forgiveness. We need to forgive those who trespasses against us.

And it is not easy. But it is required. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that it is a command.

And as with all commands given by God, we are usually the beneficiaries of it too. Someone once mentioned that harboring unforgiveness is like taking a swig of deadly poison but expecting the other person to be posoined! It is not only ridiculous but downright dumb! Yet, we do it.

BUT, when we forgive, we release ourselves from the web of "slow decay, burden and blockage".

Forgiving = Free

Mar 11:25  And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."
