He is in the royal marines.
He told us a bit about war in Afghanistan...
Said that if you are on the front operating bases-
the base in or on enemy lines
It is no picnic.
The ground men have to patrol every day
in unfriendly terrain
When I asked him why they don't just stay at the base
and shoot from there,
he said- that they need to keep enemy at least a km away
once they advance closer than 1km,
to the base, the base is tickets.
They'll take it out with all their bombs and stuff
So, each day, they have to go patrol the area
for hours, with all kinds of equipment
to keep the enemy at bay.

As Christians, even though Christ has won the war,
we need to win the little battles in our lives.
- keep the enemy away,
we need daily patrol and guard our hearts and minds
How do we patrol?
By reading God's Word, prayer and trusting the Holy Spirit to lead us...
Medidating on God's goodness, having a red hot love relationship with Jesus,
being part of a community of believers that can encourage and inspire
