All Out Adventure

I came across an amazing christian organization's website boasting some awesome adventure mission trips! And for a second my own rather smallish world in comparison, seemed rather dim and un-adventurish. Downright boring.

Who was I reaching? What was I doing? I look at the beautiful pictures of smiling faces and exotic places- all needing Christ, of course. They were reaching so many...

(sigh.) I guess in every mamma there is an adventure junkie longing to go... ;)

But the truth is, as glamorous and gorgeous as all that looks (and often is), it doesn't last long before that too becomes the norm... and downright boring.

The grass always look greener on the other side of the fence. We tend to forget one absolute truth- just look after the grass on your side and it'll be beautifully green and gorgeous!

How quickly time goes by and soon our tots and babies will be grown men and women. Treasure this season that you are in.

We can make a most significant difference now! With our hubbies, our children, our friends, our family and community -all without going halfway round the world.

Am I saying one shouldn't go? Nope. What I am saying is to live loud for Christ where HE has positioned you now!! For someone God might be saying "go" and for another "stay" but it is us that decide to be content with that which God has blessed us with. I might not see the seven wonders of the world every day, nor hear a foreign language... but I am blessed with wonderful children- little miracles that I behold daily- and am constantly surrounded by my baby's incomprehensible chatter and laughter... - a moms perspective xxx Liezl

Pro 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

1Ti 6:6 Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment,
1Ti 6:7 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.
